Berry Bury Berry

Berry Bury Berry is an incremental game about growing berries and throwing them into a hole. Throughout the game, you’ll find puzzles and unlock more areas, and its a decent gameplay loop.

My main gripe with the game is that despite the puzzles being entertaining, there simply aren’t enough, and they aren’t spaced out far enough from eachother. At some points in the game, I would feel like I just discovered 3 new puzzles that I had to complete, and at other points, it felt like I would be playing for 30 minutes without any new content. There are plenty of satisfying moments when you discover secrets, unlock new fruits, or end up comboing both of your abilities together.

The story is a bit contrived, with discussions about the problems with capitalism. The story telling is forced, and the entire story can be predicted within the first 20 minutes of gameplay.

The game isn’t necessarily innovative, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t fun. I’d recommend checking this one out.
